Charanjit Singh Channi is a politician in India who is now serving as the Chief Minister of the state of Punjab. He is a member of the Indian National Congress party. Since 2007, he has served as a member of the Punjab Legislative Assembly, where he is responsible for representing the sacred Chamkaur Sahib. He was brought up in Kharar, SAS Nagar, Mohali Punjab, where his father had shifted the base from his native village of Makarona Kalan, which is located in the Chamkaur Sahib district of Punjab in India.
